There is having bugs..then there's just plain not working.
it doesnt work at all. all it does it keep trying to focus on the object. any CD or DVD or poster i found on the internet doesnt work. the example video that shows it working must be a hoax

Same here. I have N95-3 and all it does it focus in and out but never does anything beyond that.
Hi again mkr10001, hi stlpaul,
I'm sorry you had a poor experience using P&F. You can find a few tips that will help improve your experience in a couple of previous posts: http://betalabs.nokia.com/forum/topic/2172 and http://betalabs.nokia.com/forum/topic/2168.
Hope this helps and that you will give us another chance...

When I first tried to get P&F read a barcode, I pressed the camera button, not the
navi button. At least with E66 nothing happens if you do that. Maybe some others
have made the same error. Or maybe Betalabs peole should have guessed
that different people have slightly differing intuition.

Hi all, first time posting here, so please bear with me if I'm missing out info, etc.
I too am suffering problems when trying to use P&F. I've read all available and relevant posts on here regarding the problems but I'm still not satisfied with the answers.
Firstly, the barcode reader doesn't read: It does the same endless autofocus loop that others have mentioned. I've seen the notes on optimising the reader (lighting, distance, etc) but still no luck. I don't have a white box to help positioning of the barcode too. I've tried different size barcodes too, which also brings me into a related point: The admins recommend that barcodes larger than 2cm be used plus points about resolution. Which is fair enough, but I've got the 8 items infront of me that I've tried all of which are around the 3 to 5cm mark and still no luck. These are the biggest I could find in my house. What size are other people getting success on?
I've had no luck with the movie poster scanner either, I admit, i don't have any full size posters in front of me, not living in a cinema and all, but surely pictures found in magazines and on the web should work. Or have I missed something? (film posters tried inc. Zombieland, 2012. both currently playing)
Also, seaching for info using the text function in P&F: doesn't that surely defeat the object of having a piece of software such as this in the first place? If i wanted to search that way, I'd just use google or skyfire if not using WLAN.
Also, the software defaults to the wrong access point. One that isn't even in my house!
This is so disappointing. There's got to be something I can do. Or is P&F just not supported on the N96?

Hi Spike96,
Congratulations on your first post, it's very thorough, therefore useful for our R&D team. I forwarded your feedback and we'll contact you on this forum should we need more info to reproduce your experience. I'm sorry it wasn't good and hope you will want to give us another chance with our next release...
Cheers,

hi
I am wondering it the N97 is supported? I click on the link to check supported devices but it just displays the download page??
I assumed it is so downloaded the app but it will not connect to my GPS.
Please advise
Many thanks
Jason
Hi Jason,
P&F is available on N97 and some use cases will use your device's GPS. Try to select the 'City guide' from the carousel. If you are outdoor, it will seek a GPS connection.
If you are still seeing an issue, please let me know more details on this forum so we can reproduce the issue on our end.
Many thanks,

well ive tried it on my n86.
it works for searching manually for films. better than here and now, this actually finds the cinema in my town. i like that part of it, yet it still fails to recognise and posters or barcodes
also the camera light then stays on until i turn my phone off and on again
:(
Hi mkr10001, could you please let me know if you installed P&F on your phone memory? If not, maybe you will give us another chance and un-install then re-install P&F on phone memory. This is how you will get the recognition to work on your N86.
