Ok I have tried and tried and tried to get the barcode reader to work but to no avail - Tried it on LCD TV's, cigarettes, milk and loads of other things. I have tried to scan codes vertically and horizonatally and at different distances and always the same result - it is constantly trying to focus.
If this is going to be a useful addition it has to work a lot faster and in a less specific way - ie - it should not matter how far you are away as long as the entire barcode is in view, and it should not matter whether the code is vertical or horizontal.
I am sure given time things will improve and more features will be added.
As regards the movie poster recognition - one thing I do notice is that movie posters are not that prolific these days and certainly not where I live so finding one to scan is nearly impossible unless of course I am at the cinema already which sort of negates the need for the service anyway.
