I added a friend by giving their email address. They made a post to the group I'd added them to and their name was Ovi.

Thank you for your excitement and feedback to use Pulse. Seems like your friend might have his Name listed on his Nokia account as Ovi.
Can you please elaborate a little bit more on this.
