I access the Ovi Contacts tab in the contacts application.
Select Options > My profile
Change First name and Last name.
Press Done.
This is not updated to people that I am linked to in their view.
In the My Profile view, the top line still states Anonymous. Under this is my Ovi account email address.
If I then sign off, exit contacts, and reopen the app, returning to My Profile, the data I have input is not there.
.. apart from the avatar, which I captured with the camera on my 5800, although I have heard that there is an issue with having larger images as an avatar
Well, i got the same handset and I got no problem at all. Had you tried the last version for it (1.20)??? it's really stable. We are all waiting for the file sending and voice notes =)

did anyone get this issue fixed? i have finally got a friend to sign up to ovi contacts but she appears as Anonymous? her google talk user name is the same as her ovi name, could this be causing an issue?

She may need to provide a firstname and/or lastname, and that should take care of the problem.
