at first i must say, that this app is really amazing. i like it.
but i have a problem after installation on my 6220c.
the GPS is now always on and i cannot disable it. there is no app running,
that needs the GPS function.
also when i restart my phone, the GPS turns on automatically after several seconds.
in the settings of contacts on ovi there is no entry for enable/disable GPS.
please tell me, why the GPS is turning on, also when contacts on ovi is not running?

The GPS is turned on by the Location sharing feature of Contact on Ovi.
You can disable location sharing in Contacts on Ovi by going to Settings > Presence > Share my Location

ok, i have new and detailed informations about this bug.
1.
it seems that the GPS is not really active when i set "share location" to no. the GPS status light is not blinking/lighting
BUT the GPS icon on the display is shown all the time... makes no sense if contacts on ovi is running or not. GPS icon appears also
after a reboot.
2.
when is set "share location" to yes and i connect to the online service the GPS status light is blinking/lighting like it should do.
BUT when i disconnect from service GPS will not go offline. status light stays always on even i close the app...
@rande: ok, thanks for your detailed error report. Based on this I'm pretty confident that we can resolve the issue. It's probably because we connect to the platform service that gives the location information already at the app start-up. We won't however use the information before you configure the location sharing function on.

GPS always on on the Nokia 6210 Navigator running SW 04.13.
Right, this was about the fact that we plugged on to the location service on the platform too early. I think we'll be releasing this fix in the next update to beta labs. Soon.
