I've experienced this a couple of times:
- sometimes, you try to get to the ovi tab in contacts then contacts simply closes
- today, i decided to reboot my n95-3 and it simply didn't complete displayign the main screen
what I've observed:
- the mobile was set to "always connected" through WAP APN (its working fine there)
- both ovi contacts and nokia messaging were set to start on boot
- when the "contacts closing" happens, there may be a loss of packet connectivity
- while rebooting this time, the mobile got completely frozen, the operator name didn't appear on screen (up) and the "connectivity" icon was that for a non-completed connection yet
Finally, i rebooted my mobile again, getting signal then it worked all again
Nokia Messagging, though, was working fine, just the main screen and "Contacts" where getting frozen
