N97 & Contacts

Not sure is entirely a bug report but....

I noticed my core memory on my N97 (PR1.1) was down to about 1mb and was falling without me really doing anything. I de-installed MFE - That's didn't really help. However, when I uninstalled Contacts it freed up 15MB of storage.

Does contacts keep log files or some temp operating files or something? Because of this I can't really afford to run Contacts on my device.

A workaround I guess could be to allow it to install to the mass memory but still seems strange that it uses so much storage in use.

Any thoughts?

it eats memory for no reason and it seem to be an n97 problem because i have used it on my n95 since back when it was called nokia chat.

I currently dont use it on my n97 because of the issue with memory, and i really miss it. For now i have no other option then to use fring.

ovi contacts deleted all my contacts and wouldn't let pc suite re-write them (I stick to pc suite on "serious" pc).

problem solved by losing Ovi Contacts

Based on your post I believe you are referring to OVI Contacts on the OVI Website.

This forum is related to OVI Contacts mobile based IM client which used to be called Chat.
