Some of my contacts that I invited remained pending even after they accepted me, and when they talked to me I could not enter the chat because only the "resend invitation" dialogue came up. I got around this by starting a chat with another user, and then switching over to the other chat. I finally got the user added by removing and adding him again after he had accepted. Still, I have to consider this as a bug.
Otherwise the application works great.

I have been using Nokia Chat on my old E61, and also logged in via gajim from time to time. Last Thursday, I installed "Contacts on Ovi" on my new N85 and everything worked at first. I saw my old contact list, correct buddy status, and could communicate.
Yesterday, I had a number of troubles connecting, described in my comment on the http://betalabs.nokia.com/forum/topic/437 thread. Then, I logged in via gajim to check if there was any server problem. I could log in successfully, and saw correct buddy statuses. Then I rebooted the handset and tried to log in from it again, and I did. I could communicate with everybody, and they saw me as "online", but I now see everyone as "offline" in the list on the phone. No reconnecting or rebooting fixes this. When I log in from the desktop (with gajim), I see everyone's correct status.
Deleting and re-inviting the contact makes is show correct status on the phone again, but it's not practical to do that with all my contacts.
