random closing, disconnects, search not available

it seems to be randomly closing my contacts application, and other occasions randomly is disconnected. also when i try to add friends I get "search currently not available"

- N82
- Conversation installed
- using wlan first/ data second

by the way, any way to link Ovi Contacts with my regular contacts. Perhaps a new field is required to add the Ovi username.

update! It only seems to close the app when going from Conversation in the tabs. I DO NOT have the latest version of Conversation. Can this be the problem?

Hi, with my nokia n78 i've got problems in signing in with a wap connection. Is it limited to internet and wifi ones only?

@mirkocorli: We do not restrict the connectivity, but it may very well be that WAP gateways are not letting you through to our XMPP service.

@mikemacias: Conversations app may very well be related to problems you're suffering from. We're sharing a common component (in the Support Package sis file you installed) -- and we've heard before that there may be some interoperability issues between it's versions (versions of the Support Package I mean). Please make sure that you've got the very latest versions installed.

I have configured login on startup and it is not working properly. Also when i get out of network coverage the product doesn`t connect by itself, as it should be.

@Vitaliano: What is the device you're testing with? Some devices have the auto-start-up setting done a bit differently then others, and we may have missed a detail. Getting more info on this would help us resolve the problem.

Reconnecting also should work, but again, getting the device details will help us track that bug down.

I'd like to report that my N95 NAM (with latest firmware available) is also experiencing this issue. Here is a small summary as to what I am encountering which might help:

- Upon restarting of device, manually go to Contacts to activate Contacts on Ovi
- Click connect and Contacts on Ovi is set to use the Psiloc Connect access point

At this point one of two things happen
- application connects, I see others on buddy list, then app closes
- application connects, click to change status, then app closes

Changing the access point has not merited a change in this behavior.
Note, this has only been happening since the database issue of some weeks ago.

I am intending to remove and then reload the Contacts on Ovi software, but just wanted to report this before then just in case a new version of this is coming which would address this issue within this particular OS firmware.

Additional Note: I do have Conversations installed as well.

I just got the word, that this is not reproducable anymore in the new release. That means, that the fix for this will go out soon.
