Clarifications Required + When do N85 / N79 get supported?

If there has been an issue or a mistake, is it too much to issue a clarification?

The N79 / N85 FW update release notes mention that Ovi Contacts is included in the FW. What a big fat lie. Atleast admit that much.

Im very dissapointed too.

Almost everyone on our corporate chose n85 and now we must use fring or nimbuzz as our xmpp client.
(more than 80 users have n85 using fring as xmpp client)

Hope Nokia release an XMPP CLIENT CONTACT (w/Voice) with support for n85.

With Android I have upgrades. What happend with S60 ? No upgrades ?
Apple rules ?!?!?

Ovi Contacts does support both N79 and N85. The availability as part of firmware may vary by device variant. If it's not included pre-installed in your device, you can download and install Ovi Contacts directly to your mobile by going to http://contacts.ovi.com/dist/app in your mobile browser.

Ovi Contacts is xmpp based, and you can add GoogleTalk friends besides Ovi friends to the friends list.

I really apreciate & enjoy Ovi implementing opensource chat protocol, but... lack the best feature.

Why nokia cant do "AT LEAST" the same ?

Im not asking xmpp video call, Im asking the basic features like voice call.

Otherwise S60 looks like S40.

Hi Anni,

I was using OVI contacts and is really nice, well integrated and with some relevant features. (transparent chat background is far much better)

Hope developers include Jingle soon. Jingle file sharing, voice rtp, and maybe Voice/Video.

Maybe we are asking too much, or maybe Nokia could complete with other Mobile OS offering mobiles with xmpp client w/voice (native or downloadable)
