Ovi Contacts not pre-installed on my 5630 XpressMusic

Hi,

I recently got an unbranded/unlocked 5630 XpressMusic, but it didn't have many of the applications it was supposed to have like Ovi Contacts and Nokia Messaging installed. Though strangely, it had Positioning apps even though it doesn't have GPS.

Anyways, I wanted to install Ovi Contacts on the device but I can't because the download page says it should already be installed on it. How can I would like some help on how to fix this issue.

Unless you hadn't noticed, OVI Contacts is still in beta - there isn't a company out there that will ship beta software on a production model.

It may be worth reinstalling the firmware on your 5630 - open software updater on your pc, plug in the phone, go through the wizard and select "reinstall firmware". Make sure you have a full battery first though.

I know its in beta but the 5630 XpressMusic is Ovi Contacts certified and the application download page claims that your phone should come with it pre-installed. I can't download it myself either.
