I tried to install the client sisx file through PC suite or through manual installation after copying to the memory card, but both resulted in "update error". Is there any prerequisite of the PR releases of N82? I'd used the Feature pack 1 file
Could it have something to do with the latest version of the firmware. I upgraded to v31 a couple of days ago.

.. it may very well be related to the v31 software. Serina, care to let us know if that's the SW you have too?
And just to be safe: you did remove the Nokia Chat carefully?

I have to check the sw when i'm back to office. But I don't have Nokia Chat installed before.
Btw, i had successfully get it run in N95 8G. Now i need to walk thru' the instructions so that i can start to use the chat function:-)

I experienced the error message 'update error' during the installaton of Contacts on OVI on my E71. I have used Nokia Chat before and followed instructions on remove all files for it.
