I liked Nokia Conversation (and had no problems running it) and I sure like the concept of Contacts on Ovi
...but I have trouble connecting;
for some reason I get "Network Error!" every time...
I use N95 8GB, Vodafone branded phone with software v. 20.0.016;
I can not use this service at all...
...help?

Sorry to hear about your problems. Have you tried if you have the same issues with WLAN? What is your access point configuration, getting the details would help very much.. Somebody had in another thread issues with a WAP accesspoint. Make sure your acces point is "internet" or "GPRS", etc. Thanks!

Yes...I've tryed it with both WLAN and "GPRS" Internet...
...it is weird, because I don't have any problems with other apps, connections...my phone runs fine...
...and even Nokia Conversation worked fine;
I tried it with "GPRS" (PROXY) and "internet" (no PROXY) access point...doesn't do any good...and w/ WLAN it's the same...
...and like I wrote before...I get "Network Error", generic error...it's like something would be blocking network connection...I don't know.

No problem with other Nokia Series 60 client software like nokia Maps 2.0, Nokia Friend Finder, Sports Tracker and (Nokia Chat NOTE! I have remove all Nokia Chat files from N95 device before installing Contacts on Ovi client! -but it was working!!!).

Seems to be a problem maybe with phones that previously used Chat, there are other posts mentioning this "network error" message. I had chat also on my E71. Uninstalled that and the services package, but wonder if there are other files left behind that are not removed as I get this "Network error" message.
I have tried on an N79 on which I have never installed Chat and contacts on ovi runs without problems. (although doesn't help that N79 is FP2, not FP1 like E71 and your N95)
I cleaned my E71 completely last night and started again (complete reflash from NSU), now contacts on ovi works fine, so my belief is that the Nokia Chat uninstaller is not doing a proper cleanup on some phones and leaving files behind that are stopping Contacts on Ovi from working, so shame on you Ovi team :-(
How did you do that? I have the same problem than others. Also, my E71's boyfriend works fine with Contact on Ovi, and mine doesn't.
Would be great to know how uninstall correctly the application.
I am using N73 music edition and have installed the latest updated CoO. but it always shows up "Network Error". I don't understand what the problem is. I use a GPRS access point only but yet am unable to log in. This used to be the problem with Nokia chat and had stopped using it owing to this problem. And now with CoO also I am facing the same problem.
Any suggestions?
