The standby screen integration of Contacts on OVI is damn cool!
Since N86 is also a FP2 phone, am curious as to whether the present generation of FP2 phone would get that integration with future firmware updates too?

Just upgraded to the latest version of Ovi Contacts on my N85, and I see a new standby theme available called 'Contacts'. If i switch to it, it shows my status and how many of my contacts are online on the standby screen, but nothing else. Is that what you're talking about?
@abranson you are correct but not the same as alsiladka was asking.
By the way its under settings/general/personalization/standby mode.
This mode just makes contacts/ovi tab on the standby display. Just the exact same except no side tabs.
What alsiladka was referring to was as the n86 added contacts to the standby display as an added plugin.
P.S So i find it useless.
Well, atleast it proves that the current genre of FP2 phones have the chance.
Its not completely worthless to those who (i don't think there would be many) use CO all the time!
Nice to see the support though.
The "Contacts" standby theme is not very useful, as it hides all the other icons and lines of the usual theme.
May I rather suggest that Contacts create a horizontal line on the default theme, displaying your status, number of contacts online, and unread messages (/unclosed chats)? Much like the Calendar, the Music Player and others do. Would be nice.
You havn't seen the N86 and E55 screenshots have you?
And that is why i had made the topic.
The thing you are requesting has already been implemented on the N86 and E55 - The new FP2 phones.
Thats why i created this topic to ask whether the current phones would also be getting this new plugin for the standby.
