we need up-date we can add a BB users in Ovi contacts,, because most the people they move to bb phone for the massenger, and all my friends they have it, i want keep in touch with them . because am happy with Nokia and i don't change my phone

i think bb support will be at the bottom of the list, we've been waiting for nokia to support the worlds most popular IM protocols for ages so bb compatible is looking unlikely.
why not get your friends to switch to an xmpp client like google talk (tell them to install nimbuz) and then you can add them to ovi contacts?
i think, it is not that easy to ask them for moving to other chat application . because, you know BBM messenger are easy to use and it is the most used application on bb itself. so, nokia should support for bbm asap .

Thanks for this suggestion. To tell you the truth, we've not yet put much thought to this. We can have a look to see what it would take, but if they are not running an open protocol (like XMPP is), it might be complicated.

This would be a good idea, loads of my mates have recently got blackberrys, so would be good to be able to integrate BBM with ovi contacts.
I much prefer my E71 to the 'berrys but only a few of us talk on Ovi Contacts compared to the amount who are currently using BBM.
Any news on this being supported yet?

BB PIN is a Blackberry's thing and is not going to be possible to chat, from ovi, to a blackberry. At least not by adding a BB pin to Ovi contacts, tell all of your friends that have a blackberry to sign in to their Google-Talk account through the BB and add them to Ovi... That's your only option and it works pretty well...
This is a great idea and I think it should be investigated further, as loads of my friends have BBM but I know only one person using OVI.
I have friends with BB using a gtalk account, and in my ovi contacts they always appeas offline, even when they are online... for this reason I am still using Fring...
