when I update my status with a photo my wall and friends feeds get 3 separate updates. One for updated Ovi album, one for the new photo and then one with the actual status text along with the map link.
These should be integrated into one status update.
Another thing is I cannot delete my lifecast updates from friends feeds. I can delete them from my wall.
This is actually how Facebook updates work.
When you lifecast you update your status on Facebook and a picture cannot be part of it. Therefore you will always see at least two entries in your wall: one for the status update, one for the picture.
Sometimes Facebook also shows that you updated the Ovi photo album. Currently, this cannot be changed.
Also, your own entries can be only deleted from your wall and after a couple of minutes won't be shown on your friends' feeds either.
It is a shame that facebook behaves like this. Now it looks quite bizarre if you add a photo with your lifecast update.
You are correct that the ovi album update and photo addition can be removed from your wall and they are then removed also from friends' feeds.
But the actual lifecasting status with the map link cannot be removed from friends' feeds. It can be removed from your wall. Behaviour is similar if you added a photo with the update or not.
Good news: we managed to reduce the posts from 3 to 2, one for the status update and one for the photo album. Let us know if this is a more elegant solution for you.
I tested this and the second posting is gone . This is possibly better but the real "killer application"-feature would be one integrated posting that includes all three pieces:
- status update text
- photo
- map link
If I understood correctly facebook does not allow publishing link AND a photo in one posting. Is this true?
Have you tested deleting lifecast updates? I cannot remove them from friends' feeds. This makes lifecasting testing a little difficult :)

We are working on a solution that might be similar to your suggested "killer application" :-)
However, there is no way to combine picture and status update right now.
If you want to test around please go to your profile and delete the lifecasted post from there. It works :-)
