Access through Applications folder too

Suggestion for Ovi lifecasting

I don't want applications present on my homescreen like AccuWeather, facebook, Ovi lifecasting, or others that continuously update as they reduce battery life and slow down applications that I truly need. Since there is no access to Ovi lifecasting in the Applications folder I find it a tool I cannot use.

facebook is something I use with my firneds, but as my N97 is used for business I do not need and cannot have facebook always present as it is inappropriate for the work place. Can you create the ability to access Ovi lifecasting from some method other than the homescreen?

The homescreen widget has been designed to be battery efficient. It only updates every ten minutes and it does not require client to server connection, so the amount of data transfer is minimal.

No reason why not to have app only. There are so few HS widget slots so it would be really good to have standalone app too (+ support for 5800XM too).

I guess there is not yet an option for disabling or adjusting the update interval? Now it seems to drain battery quickly and I'd like to disable updates e.g. over the night but it seems that this widget does not obey the content to offline setting in the homescreen that I've used with other widgets.

Right now, to stop location update, you have to remove the home screen widget.

I would also like to have a separate application, or at least the option to set it as a shortcut link that opens a full-sized widget.

It seems like every time I click on it, I have to let it login to both Nokia and Facebook anyways - why not let it launch an app, too?
