The download is not new. http://mail.ovi.com is new. The actual mail service has been updated and improved.

Mbrett I believe he is speaking about the installation file which helps set up email on The device. Remember it was it beta a while back then released to the ovi store.
@snowy: My point was the way his post is worded sounds like he assumed that the Mobile app was updating and I was clarifying to him that the blog post referenceing the update refers to the Service rather than the mobile installable set-up app.

...well I don't get you.
What is it about new functions? I own a N97 mini and do not have any new function on my phone: the Nokia Messaging application stopped working 4 weeks ago (it doesn't retrieve mails anymore) and since then my phone is just a far to expensive phone instead of a smart phone.
I was hoping that with the update you made the phone application working again - who cares about another computer based mail provider when all I want is to read my mails on my phone.
And - by the way - ovi mail doesn't work with one of Germany's biggest mail providers 1und1. Annoying!
Please publish a working mail application for N97 mini which works with all mail providers, which displays full screen html mails and which I can access with the same shortcut on my phone that opens sms and so on.

@moscho999 you have the wrong category here, but thats ok.
What you looking and speaking about is nokia's push email service called nokia messaging. head on over to http://email.nokia.com and that is where you will find additional information needed. I dont think you will be disappointed anymore:)

If you wish to redownload the app you now have to go to http://messaging.nokia.com as http://email.nokia./com is now only really used for mailbox management.
They have a blog over at http://messaging.nokia.com which advises of some of the changes in the latest version released in February.
