Haven't been able to get it to work yet. Does the email account still need activating on an S40 device?

I had my id activated already from s40 device, so I cant confirm whether activation works from s60 device.
but anyways you can activate mail on ovi from webmail. Just go to http://mail.ovi.com/ and login with your ovi username/password.
i got it setup on my 6120c using the email app.
settings are as follows
imap
server: imap.mail.ovi.com
username
password
outgoing
smtp.mail.ovi.com
username
password
make sure the username is user@ovi.com
that should get it working.
you might need to sign up first on mail.ovi.com
that's what i did.
if you already have an ovi account you can just use that i believe.
I thought I was able to set it up in Nokia Messaging on my N95, ran some tests and got nothing on the phone, but they were in the inbox on the web. Maybe it didnt fully set up?
soo simple.
Go to mail.ovi.com
Activate your mail account.
Open Nokia Messaging on your device and it takes less then a minute to add your new ovi email account.

Hey I'm just registered to mail.ovi.com. It looks very cool and simple to my but I using Profimail on my device because it's seems to my more efficent for many e-mail adresses and it needs less more resources on my N73 as the Nokia software. (Hope this will be changed in the next time)
But unfortunaletly with the mail.ovi.com account there isn't a support for secure SMTP connection over SSL or I don't find the right port number for this.
If there is a support for SSL SMTP please can sb. provide me with the right settings for this?
SSL for IMAP over Port 993 works fine to me.

Now only the sync between the address book and the email addresses on OVI contacts is missing and this shouldn't be a big problem. I hope so.

@alsiladka, i have it running on my data plan. Unlimited;). Carriers in the states may offer a low feature service but they have nice unlimited rates ;).
Never bothered to try it on wifi also.
I was able to successfully use smtp over ssl in thunderbird. The default port 465 worked.
Also if you are using you phone for this then you should look at Nokia Messaging at http://email.nokia.com. It is supports N73 and mail on ovi.

I got a little problem here, when I refresh on the web mail version of ovi mail, it doesn't refresh..
But when I refresh on my phone(Nokia 5610 XpressMusic) it do refresh and get the emails.
The problem is that the web mail version don't refresh/get the emails.
Does any one have a idea why it doesn't refresh ? or is it only me..?
And it would be great if we could make new folders on the phone too, just like on the web mail version.

We are adding support for auto-refresh of webmail's Inbox in the next release.
Please note that the S40 native client does not support folders currently.
