Some suggestions to expand on Ovi Mail

Sad but true. . .

I woke up in the middle of the night with these ideas.

IDEA 1
As it is already possible on Nokia Mobile phones I assume its possible for Nokia to acheive this in OVI Mail.

Provide the user the option of "Send As". This could enable the user to send the message as one of the following:

E-mail - (already available)
SMS - Using the mobile number in the OVI Mail contact's information.
MMS - Same as above.
Fax - Using the fax number in the OVI Mail contact's information.

This capability would make OVI Mail stand out from all of its competitors, providing a cross platform communication system.

I know that this is possible but have never seen it all in one place. Extentions of this would be to enable the uses to receive these forms of communication in there composite inbox aswell.

IDEA 2

A view using the same infrastructure as provided in Nokia Converation would be a nice flurish to the service enabling the user to see there e-mails as conversations. This would help in finding specific e-mails historically.

IDEA 3
If Idea 1 were actioned than it would be nice to enable synchronisation of all messages with the uses mobile phone. IE all sms, mms, email etc sent from mobile appears on OVI Mail Website and vice verca.

What does evyone else think of these ideas?

I enjoyed reading your ideas very much!
Idea 1, a must. Idea 2 not my kinda flavor(but thats just my taste), but the right idea. Idea 3 i would say forget about because our future native client would be nokia messaging. Agree/Disagree?

There should be some defining factor with ovi mail then the rest out there. The answer lies in tailoring to mobility.

Things like less on the HTML,(Although i do like how the web mail client allows for low bandwidth, show image or not, for countries with less resources, ive dealt with it first hand).
Ahh thats it! On their web mail client via mobile browser there should be separate setting allowing HTML, Text, Images, Low Bandwidth. After all we must consider for the whole world and the limiting factors.

Can it recognize if an email is being sent/received via mobile.

This project must need more definition towards mobile devices and behavior.

1) Thanks for your support on this.

2) I don't mind either way on this one, but could see how people could like this as a new way to view there messages.

3) This would help if you mail, both from your phoe and your PC. ie via the website, via Nokia Mail and via Microsoft Outlokk (for example).
