Drive & Walk license becomes corrupted after installing the latest version of Ovi Maps 3.0

I have installed the new versions of Ovi Maps 3.0 on my Nokia N95 8GB (firmware version 31.0.015). Installing the application was not easy. The Nokia Maps Updater was not able to find my phone and crushed with "unspecified error (1)" message or searched for a connected device endlessly. Nokia PC Suite however found my phone so I was sure it was not a problem with any of the drivers.

The solution: I started Nokia Maps 2.0 and exited it. The Nokia Maps Updater was then able to find my device pretty quickly. I realized that the problem was caused by me deleting the Cities folder and the qf file before connecting my device with my PC. Starting the application created new Cities folder and qf file which fixed everything.

The navigation feature however did not work. After calculating the route, I was presented with an agreement and an option to by a license. I currently have a valid license for South Eastern Europe & Balkans in Nokia Maps 2.0. But the license now was recognized as "Drive Europe". The option to update my license information didn't change anything. Re-entering my license code again evoked two error messages which appeared in random way:
1. Invalid license code.
2. Error. The license you entered is already in use.

I re-installed Nokia Maps 2.0 and even Nokia Maps 1.0 (I deleted the Cities folder and the qf file before each installation, and even uninstalled the License Manager separately, before each re-installation of maps). Those things didn't fix the problem. I did not perform a hardware reset or reinstall my phone's firmware.

The Nokia Maps Loader v.2.0.2 lists the license as "Undefined Licenses 08G0443".

So I would appreciate it if the Nokia Maps Team can reset my license code (I will provide it along with my purchase details if needed). Or help me find where the license information is sored, so that I can delete it and re-enter my old license code.

Updating my E71 (firmware 210.21.006) went fine.
After installation my license was displayed as "Fahren Europa" (drive Europe).
I entered my license key again, but I got the message No product available for this license code.
But nevertheless, when I use Maps 3.0 it as Drive & Walk license is installed (I've only tried it only sitting at my desktop, not by walking).

Well, my license was displayed as "Drive Europe" also, but unfortunately I couldn't use the navigation feature. It's a constant loop: choosing a route-the application calculates it-I'm presented with the agreement-then the purchase option for my region are displayed. It seems that the application recognizes the license as valid when I choose to check or update my license from the Extras menu, but for some reason decides it's not valid when I try to use the navigation feature.

I have the same problem onto my E71. I got a Drive and Walk DACH Licence and now it seems like I have an Europe Drive licence...

My drive and walk licence is now:

Drive Europe
Traffic & Safety Europe
City Explorer

Drive and walk licences are now as follows.

You can purchase a drive licence for a specific region. You can then choose to add City Explorer licence which adds walking to your driving licences. You can of course purchase these together.
Also Traffic& Safety is the new Traffic licence required to get "Speed Limit Warner" and "Safety Camera Warner" to work. (It should be noted that these presently have issues in this release. No sound on the "Speed Limit Warner" and nothing at all from the "Safety Camera Warner".

I have lost my drive and walk licence on my E90 also. (as described in the first post). To make sure I didn't make an error in the installation I reinstated maps 2 and got it working again with the licence. When I upgraded (downgraded!) to maps 3 I lost the licence again.

I reinstalled Nokia Maps 2.0 also, but the license still didn't work. I even reinstalled Nokia Maps 1.0 but had no success either. My license is not working at all now. It's only listed in the application as present, but does nothing there.

Tried downgrade to sort missing Safety Cameras, but when using Nokia Maps 2 the licences no longer worked. A few hours later I managed to get Map Updater to recognise my phone again and upgraded and the licences work again.

Hi all,
The Drive licenses also includes Walk licenses too - I will put a note to make this clear on the Beta Labs page shortly. In addition, people who previously only had regional countries license - e.g. DACH License - these are now converted to the Europe.
Also, once licenses have been converted into 3.0, they cannot be rolled back for 2.0.

Hi Mr. Kee,

My licenses is 3 years of Singapore for my N95. But after update to NM3, my licenses aera from Singapore changed to Australia & New Zealand and Indonesia. I update from options->Shop & Licenses->My Licenses->Update and got message "No updates available". I key in my licenses code got message "No products available for this license code".
I downgrade to NM2, the license go back.
So what I can do?

Does this mean that my license will not work with Nokia Maps 2.0 anymore. Because it did not work with any version of Nokia Maps-I tried it with all versions-from v.1.0 to the latest 3.0. And I need my license to work with version 2.0 again if possible. So do I have to do a hard reset of the phone or this will not change anything since the same license would be downloaded again from your servers.

@gukangyi: are you still able to navigate without any problems? After updating to the latest version of Maps 3.0 you should now have 3 licenses (Drive South East Asia, Drive Australia & New Zealand and Drive Indonesia). The coverage of these 3 licenses is about the same as your old license.

I had bough a 3 year licence 1 1/2 years ago (Nokia maps 1.0 Eastern Europe-Greece) for my N95 and it worked fine even after upgrading to nokia maps2.0 with my N96. Now that I upgrade to Ovi Maps 3.0 it does exactly the same as to "argmaropulos". Have I lost 1 1/2 year worth of licence now that it can't be downgraded?

Also same bought 3 year licence 1 1/2 years ago Eastern Europe for N95. When I update to the latest BETA and I try and update the licence nothing is found. Contrary to what kee said, luckily I can roll back to Maps 2.0 and my licence still comes up, 480+ days left.
I've updated and rolled back a few times and the license is there under 2.0 but nothing found with 3.0 BETA. I can't navigate because after about 30 secs the buy a licence screen comes up.

Before you email the IMEI of your device, please try the following first:

1) Start Maps the application
2) Click Options ----> Shop & Licenses --------> My licenses ---------> Update
3) Please connect online (if it asks you)

I have a Nokia N95 8Gb with IMEI: "******" and every time i use nokia maps 3.0 when i try to nvigate with the phone it wants me to by a license after 30 SECS. I have a drive license for South Africa and with nokia maps 2.0 it works fine. On nokia maps 3.0 it tells me it is incompatable. Kee can u pleas check for me what can be doen to get it fixed i could have aproximatly just more than 11 moths left on the license. Kee just let me konw if you would need my IMEI number.
