Initializing of Maps Service API failed.

Refered to this in a discussion post, but thought I should make it a bug report.

When I run Nokia Map Updater I receive the following message:

"Initializing of Maps Service API failed.

Connection to the map server has benn interupted [9].
Make sure your internet connection is working and try again.
If you are still unable to update, try again later."

I've been trying intermittently for over 12 hours no on two different PCs.

I beleive it may be a server side issue as I get the same message on both PCs and receive a similar server error when starting Nokia Map Loader (both the latest versions downloaded from www.nokia.com/maps yesterday).

Any idea when this might be sorted?

I also thought it was a server problem as i tried it first behind a firewall i couldn't control but as it also didn't work on a pc with no other problems i tried to deinstall everything nokia related i had on my pc and reinstalled the newest pc suite. This helped.

I noticed that maps updater installed connectivity tools although my pc suite was fairly resent and afterwards i had problems regognizing the phone. After fresch install everything worked smoothly (except the actual maps application on the phone, but thats a different story).

as suggested by magick, after I made "uninstall pc suite" and I choosed repair, the installation of nokia maps worked good
