Map Loader error while loading catlogue

I have upgraded maps to maps 3 and it all works perfectly. The maps upgraded during the installation. However, when I subsequently run map loader I get the following series of messages.

"Updating phone information".
Then when the phone is detected
"Retrieving download catalogue for E90"
Then
"Error while loading catalogue for E90"

Then it gives up and I can't use maploader.

Anyone else having problems?

i have the exact same problem with my E66.plus it shows that i have to either upgrade my version of maps (which is totally ridiculous as i have the newest version) or go to mass storage mode.Can anyone help us???
