Ovi Maps 3.0 not working on E71 (210.21.006)

Hi,

I have installed Maps 3.0 on my E71 [version: 210.21.006, RM-346, E71-1 (26) ].
Start the 3.0 Maps application, and: nothing.
It simply did not run.

More over, while down-grading to Maps 2.0 the E71 simply complete crashed, deleting all on-device-memory information (I had to restore all information from the backup).

More details:
1) I used the applications: NokiaMaploaderSetup.exe, Setup_Nokia_Maps_Updater_1.0.6.exe
2) I have the latest/greatest Nokia-PC-Suite

3) With the previous version of the Maps 3.0:
The maps still did not worked, but I was able to downgrade to 2.0 easily.

It does run on my E71 v210.21.006 although I did extract the .sis file from Updater_1.0.6.exe to allow me to Bluetooth it across from a Mac.

Hi,

I did not get too good impression of the sw, which I downloaded today.
The sw froze for several minutes when it was starting, even for 5 minutes. It was probably the traffic cameras I had, which I them removed by hand, one by one...

The next item was getting directions for driving.So far the GPS has been fast, and the phone has found the position very quickly, in the mater of few seconds.

I can find my position, and verify that the satellite status are fine by satellite status (GPS data program). Nokia Maps. however, does not show any signal bar. IIf I then set destination to drive to, I get "Waiting for GPS", which does not change. So I do not get any guidance to my destination.

I checked that I have the latest sw in my phone before getting the beta today.

It's a common problem that some people aren't able to use internal gps with Maps 3 in E71. The maps team should already know about this issue, because it has been discussed in several threads in this forum. However no comments has been posted by the maps team concerning this issue...

I tried this more today. Final comments, before downgrading back to Maps 2 (I was hoping that "final beta" means working software, and since I need the navigation, I need to go back to Maps 2):

If I open the "GPS data" program, I can see the satellite status, and see eg. my position. Once I start Maps 3, "GPS data" looses the GPS signal and is showing "No connection". The menu shows only Help and Exit, and not "Satelliite status" anymore. The same happens to SportsTracker. Starting Sports Tracker after Maps 3, show "GPS fix ok" note, and find GPS, but it does not make Map 3 functional.

Maps 3 can often get my initial position. but I have not seen it getting satellite indicator showing anything else than striped red.

Using external bluetooth GPS does not help, I tried that as well, but maybe it is only used by "GPS data" program and not Maps 3.

Pity I can't use Maps 3 for now, I hope to hear someone confirming that it works on E71. My E90 does not have navigation license, so not much point using it there either for my need.
