When I select 'walk to', maps 3 offer me an option to purchase walk navigation. It only mentions that I can purchase 'Full license.' There is no mention if the license is for a country, region, or not limited, or for how long the license is valid.

You can buy a drive licence for an area. You can then opt to add walk capability to a region you already have a drive licence for. You can also buy both together.

The maps offers it to me when I click on Walk To (I have no current licences)
The application offers me to buy a 'Full Walk Licence' for SEK 97.00, but makes no mention as to the duration or geographic extend of the licence. Do I have to make a purchase to find out?
I believe walk licence just expand your existing drive licence regions to walk aswell.

I am a click away from purchasing walk license with no drive license, only reason I am not doing it is I do not know the extent of the license I would be buying. WHICH was my question, not if I can buy one or not.I KNOW I CAN.
Please, stop insisting it is not so. It may be so with your handset, but you cannot deny my reality!
I get the same option too! 'Full license for Walk navigation with no mention of time limit" Even I'm in a fix if i'd get to see the 3d architecture with this license
Hi IMAGINARY.FRIEND,
The walk feature is available in all navigable countries.

Maps Team.
If I purchase the SEK 97 walk navigation, what is the subscription period? Or is it unlimited?
The fact that it is available in all countries, does it mean that by purchasing a SEK 97 subscription in Sweden, I will be able to use walk navigation in Paris?
What do I get for the SEK 97? That is what I want to know. The Maps offers me a 'Full Licence Wal Navigation' with no explanation as to what it is.
Imaginary friend, have you looked at Nokia's "Nokia Maps" web pages?
A very quick Google Search brings up this site, with a direct link to "Pricing and coverage".
These are the sorts of questions that those pages are there to answer.
OK, so it is possible that Maps 3 has a different model, so have you looked at the Beta Labs page for Ovi Maps for Mobile http://betalabs.nokia.com/betas/view/nokia-maps-30-maps-ovi, which has a whole paragraph on licenses?
Also, perhaps you might progress a little further thorugh the buying process as it may well give you the information you want. Until you actually enter your credit card details you wil have lost nothing.
Please remember that this Beta Labs site is for people to test software functionality and contribute to software development, having done investigative work themselves, rather than a forum for people to ask any questions they like, without perhaps having looked very hard themselves for an answer.
I am trying to report that the app is not providing with sufficient information when it is pushing a subscription.
Why do you think I wrote this under Bug Report?
I apologize for everyone who feels offended for me reporting this bug, but... I am not responsible for your sensibilities.
@IMAGINARY.FRIEND. I did not deny anything you stated.
Appolgies if you found my post annoying in some way.

I am just wondering how come I have to kleep explaining a simple bug report. As far as I am concerned, this thread should be 1 post long.
Here's one thing about bug reports: Even if you personally do not experience the bug, someone else may do so. The fact is, I find something wrong with the application and I reported it. Obviously, since I went through the trouble of doing so, at least found the problem annoying enough to be reported.
I cannot see why people are so keen to correct me for doing so. Not to mention correcting me that this is not the place for this kind of bug report, and that this is not a place for me to do report this kind of bugs!
Jesus!
I never said that I had or had not experienced the bug.
I did not attempt to correct you in any way.
I never said you had posted this in the wrong place.
You appeared to be inquiring about the OVI Maps Walking Licence and it;s applicability to location and duration.
"There is no mention if the license is for a country, region, or not limited, or for how long the license is valid."
I was advising of my understanding of how the Walking Licence applies, based on my experience. I thought this was a peer based forum as well as a manufacturer to user and vice verca forum.
My understanding is that if you already have a Drive licence for, lets say, the United Kingdom and you choose to buy a Walk licence. My understanding that purchasing this Walking licence you will add Walking for the UK. In the same way if you had a Drive Licence for the UK and Spain. Purchasing a Walking Licence would add walking to both the UK and Spain. The duration would be based on the duration of your Drive Licences.
As I say this is/was my understanding of how teh Walk licence purchase works.

just dont even help out this dude......
I reported a bug that the application is not giving adequate information when it is pushing a license. Period.
I do not need anyone to make assumptions about what licenses I may or may not have, and, thank you Snowy.... I will sleep much better if I know that the 'helping' is not clouding the issue.
You know... maybe it is sometimes better not to comment on posts one knows nothing about, as that only complicates things. I know there are always some ppl in every forum who feel they have to comment on every single post, and most of us have one time or another slipped into that mode... But it can get really annoying at times, and really,. really doesn't help anyone.
I have better things to do than having to keep validating my bug reports, so enjoy!
Most of our forum members from the discussions above here already have a drive license, I think i understand/have the same problem that our imaginary friend over here. I guess neither of us possess any drive or walk or any city explorer license..
However when you choose the walk navigation, the 'option' to choose just the 'full walk license' for 97 sek or equivalent with no other information is a lil misguiding. Out of curiosity i went ahead to add the same into subscription and NOW I see the validty appear for duration of 1 month - when i tried to edit & change (yes i can change the subscription duration :))) ) to max of 12 months for the same amount!!! (this is a bug)
Full Walk license- by what i assume is,(only walk license)with validity for a month but can be used in any country.
However i cancelled; not wanted to risk experiencing repeated transactions i.e. just in case!
I was offered no options in the process, and no further information. I charged the thing on my phone bill, a SMS was sent.
Now, when I check my licenses, there is a City Explorer License:
Status: Activated
License details: "Walk navigation is a premium service that helps to guide you along pedestrian areas, through parks or over crossings while walking. You can also view 3D landmarks that display buildings and landmarks for better orientation."
Still no word on how long before it expires. I hope I haven't entered a monthly subscription without knowing I am doing so ;)
Hi IMAGINARY.FRIEND,
Thanks for your feedback. Just to let you know, the City Explorer license is not a monthly subscription but is valid for the lifetime of the device.

And well worth the 97 SEK
I think this case is closed. There's no point in continuing this quarreling. The matter has been discussed thoroughly and I'm closing this thread.
I don't like seeing this kind of threads here. @IMAGINARY.FRIEND: if you don't like having to explain yourself and validate your bug reports, just don't. There's no point fanning the flames and getting into an argument about it.
