Ok, I've mentioned this before. I have 2 Nokia N95-1 phones. On one, i still have Maps 2. On the other, I have the betta of Maps 3. I maintain that the graphics in Maps 2 is far superior to Maps 3. See for yourself be clicking the link below. These two photos are just straight out screenshot saves from the phone of the same location. Each phone has identical display settings.
I want the old graphics back !!!! You might also note that Maps 2. has a lot more POI's, but that's another story......
I didn't remember it having been quite that obvious. It would help to return to the image strength of Maps 2 to help in high light circumstances.

That's exactly where the brilliance of maps 2 imagery is far superior to the maps 3 imagery. As you say, in bright sunlight, not just fine detail, but even detail of streets, are washed out in bright sun, At least with maps 2, the graphics were always very easy on the eye, even in bright sunshine. I cant understand how the two programs could be so different, graphically. Obviously the graphics engine of maps 3 is completely different to maps 2, for some reason or other.
During the last few days of sunny weather I have noticed that I struggle to see the maps display and with speed warning only being visual on my phone at the moment, it means they might as well be turned off.
The maps team need to correct the colours, after all it should only take the colour values changing to their orgginal values within the software.
