by downloading the europe map to my device the updater app has lost the status window

...ok, later on i have checked the storage content of the cities folder - nothing tranferred to the card
killing the processs
restarting the map loader (btw. 3.0.18)
... start the next download

I've got the same problem: after launch of the Maps Loader it connects to the phone (e71) and then there is a blank green window with no bars, no options. Many thanks in advance for any help.
third try this mornig and i
in my case, map loader starts in pc but after few seconds starting window got away. My windows is XP and i'm not in file transfer mode.
One question: Map loader only runs in file transfer mode and is it not necessary the phone was connected?
