Map Updater should have loaded new version of the maps it deleted during the update.

Also remember, if you delete the Cities folder and QF file you need to start up Maps on you phone and allow it to complete it's boot sequence before exiting it and then connection your phone to you PC to allow it to re-create new version of the Cities folder and QF file. If these are not on your phone Maps Loader will not work and nether may Map Updater.

@zabelkin: same message about disks at the corner but no maps info. And about Maps Updater - yes, I remember now that when I started Ovi Maps for the first time after updating there were offline maps shown in the phone. But then I tried Map Loader, faced this error and deleted both cities and qf (I thought that the Loader wants maps to be build from the scratch). It was my fault and now I can't get maps back.

Another information that maybe useful: Map Loader shows that 1 disk is found while there must be two, I suppose (phone memory and memory card).

Map Loader 3.0 shows blank screen

Nokia 5800, Win 7 RC1 Build 7100

I tried in Win XP SP3. The same problem - blank screen.

@mbrett: yes, I've restarted Maps 3.0 before trying Map Loader. So there are 'cities' folder and 'qf' file on my memory card.

Btw, sorry for off-topic, but can I have an advice how to turn email notifications on for this discussion board? I didn't manage to find this option in my profile.

@yurri: Sorry but there is presetnly no way to track threads in the Betalabs forums. There are plans to update the site later this year during which time things may change.

I had that issue. but I downloaded the latest map loader, uninstalled the old version 3 and installed the new (latest) version 3 and all of a suddent he maps were there to be loaded.

I've just performed the following steps:

1) Deleted cities folder and qf file from the memory card.
2) Re-installed Maps 2.0.
3) Ran Maps 2.0 once and closed after new cities folder was built.
4) Re-installed Maps 3.0.
5) Ran Maps 3.0 once.

Map Loader still doesn't work.

mbrett, thank you for correcting me. Still it had no effect for me. I've uninstalled Map Loader 3.0 completely, downloaded it again, installed and get nothing new. Blank screen still.

And for maps manually uploaded to cities folder still there is no functional address search ('No results found offline' message).

@snowy: I've tried PC Suite uninstalling with PC Suite Cleaner but it didn't help. Actually, I've uninstalled-and-installed-again all the Nokia software on my system. No effect.

On my Nokia E90 Map Loader show blank screen without available maps.

Reinstall and delete file+foldres not help me.

Thank you all for your log files - this has been very helpful in investigating the Map Loader blank screen issue. It appears that there is a localization bug on the Map Loader for Indonesia and Russian languages. The team is working on this and hope to get an updated version of Map Loader out very shortly.

Are there any news about Map Loader update?

i just got the new n97 and update to ovi maps 3.0
first i couldnt download loader from nokia i took it from a site
i downloaded it i just can see the voice tab no maps why
help
