Discussion for Ovi Maps 3.0 Beta for mobile

Hi,

after I installed the new Beta I wondered about the missing "new features". There are only fixes (and as I can see after a short time also a LOT OF new bugs). The big and wonderful suggestions we have done here the last month ago are not implemented yet! Why do we install such buggy versions and have problems with our navigation software if nobody regards our suggestions? I don't know wheater other thinks like me but I'm very disappointed of that. For me it looks like Nokia will fix this state of features and will do the release after that...

One of which can be found by doing the following:

Click on the map.
Press the phone centre button.
Choose to look at the location details.
On this screen press the rightbhand soft button and you can select to see the weather forecast for this location.

Another new suggestion incorporation is the option to have visual only for "Speed Limit Warner" and "Safety Camera Warner".

A third new suggestion incorporation is the improved licence purchase process enabling users to extend current licences.

A fourth new suggestion incorporation is the rotation of the map when not in navigation modes.

A fifth new suggestion incorporation is changes to the full route progress navigation screen.

There are more, but this short list shows that they have been listening.

I'm not going to suggest there are not a number of bugs ion this latest issue but we shouldn't suggest they have not been listenng.

The only thing I can rate at that moment is the speed limit warner: A lot of user said that there should be a range to be set for speed limit warner. For example 5 km/h more than the allowed speed. That is for me an essential functionality for the limit warner.

I can't rate the licence purchasement because my licence manager is crashing directly after I start it.

Ok with this information it could be that Nokia doesn't implement all the features I would like to see ;-)

All I can say is the present version is a big improvement on the previous beta. There will obviously be more tweaks to come, but so far so good. fwren
