Sorry to Kee and Nokia Maps team, but (i must say it) this has project has been handled poorly. Im just going to be blunt about it, Using Nokia Beta Labs was a channel meant communication.
This second beta release of Noka maps 3 is the worst i have ever seen over in Nokia Beta Labs, not just in terms of unstable software but poor communication of changes, handling the forum bored and engaging with the community.
That said its a community of growth, so ill lay a few key points of improvement, recommendation and change.
- Disclose goals of the project.
*Short term: ex. till next beta phase
*Long term: What new features to focus on, where change will be looked and consider at ex. Nokia maps 3 will only include improvements from after 2.0, basically saying that no other improvements rather than the new features will be looked at.
( I say this because much needed change and re-structure should be doe)
-Join Discussions
*Agreement does not cut it, share your views.
-Organize
*Again communicate with the community, do you want people to pester you about a million time reported bug? Answer is NO. So go ahead and inform the community.
Make it clear your objectives, is it bug? features? re-structure?
Thats about it that comes to mind for now.
My only intentions is to improve our communication skills and speed growth because to be honest ive become uninterested to even join the forum due to its failure of clear communication & unclarity.
