suggestion for the forum when it will be released the next NM and not only

Suggestion for Ovi Maps 3.0 Beta for mobile

I think that it could be fine create 2 or more sub forum for NM, one for the current release, one for the old ones or one for each release.
Now there is 25 pages of bugs, suggestions, discussions and reviews, with the next release, I think that they can be the same qty. In this way you know easily which posts are actual and which ones are out of date.
Of course, this suggestion can be extended to all forums of Betalabs.

there is already duplicate threads for the new version like some bugs and some suggestions.
I think that a lot of people does not read the old suggestions because they think that they are out of date.

This is something that we have discussed with Ilkka before, possible in the betalabs forum.

Hopefully Ilkka will look at this again. He did say there are plans for changes to the forum later this year, but I agree that we need something in the interim.

I have to apologize, but I'm afraid we cannot grant this wish. I am aware of this problem, but the schedule for improving this is unfortunately still the same: later this year.

I am not very much in favor of creating short term solutions, unless they are very quick to create and do not harm the user experience. There's already too much work to be done this month, next month is holiday season (and development is pretty much frozen), then in the beginning of August we are starting a new development project cycle, which starts from planning, continues to visual design and eventually implementation. We deliberately chose a more structured project model this time to get a more concise end result. Overall we should be more efficient this way, although smaller improvements will take longer to do.

At the top of this, I am reluctant to push temporary fixes based on Maps 3.0 right now, since the latest version (at least according to Kee's blog post) "will be deployed to millions very soon." I do agree that the problem still exists, and it should be solved sooner rather than later.
