have you downloaded the right version for your phone? If you have not setted your phone in your profile, you should see in the download page the link for the s60v5 for 5800 and the link for the s60 v3.2.
I had no problems installing it on my phone

After this failed, i installed the OVI Store version but the map loader doesn't detect my phone and i can't upload maps :(

I see the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with Memory Card/Phone Memory in my computer.

Just installed the new version.
Installation went smooth.
It asked me to delete the old maps data.
downloading the new data. hopefully it has got better maps and routing.

Just giving a heads up. I deleted the whole Cities folder from Mem. card and installed the newest wk15. No phone crashing now.

What I did before that is a long story, hard reset etc etc...

I had the previous version of 3.04 working fine on my 5800XM (RM-428/0577454 v40.2.005).

I downloaded the latest version, maps_installer_3.04_10wk15_b04_s60_5.0.Nocs.sis
and when I tried to install it, it says "Not compatible with phone. Proceed anyway?". If I say "yes", it will start to install, but immediately stop and says "No Access".

I then deleted the previous version first before installing. But same result. Won't install.

are you absolutely sure that you downloaded the correct version? The first link on the download page is for other phone models (Nokia 6710 Navigator, Nokia 6730 classic, Nokia E52, Nokia E55, Nokia E72) You need to choose the second link.

I don't know why, but I have problems to install this beta version, even I have already the former beta from week 8 on my phone. i get the first the error message that aplication is not compatible and then that there is no access for instalation.
My phone is a XM5800 RM-421 and I have FW-40 installed. I had no problems to install the former beta version and I also download the correct version for my S60V5 phone. Any ideas?

Hi all - quick update. We have noticed that the Nokia 5800 with RM-428 (type *#0000# to check what you have) are being denied installation. This is being fixed and we hope to have in the next days or so.

@praveenparvani and DdL50 - could you double check that you are installing the version for S60 5.0 and that you have around 20MB free on your device?

Could you try the following:
Go to your Application manager (Settings > Application mgr. > Installed apps.) and remove Nokia Maps.
Reboot device and try the installation of WK15 again.

Also, check that you have enough space on your phone C: Drive (around 20MB)

Could you check what "RM" your Nokia 5800 is - type *#0000# to check what you have. If you have RM-428 then this is a known issue and is being fixed (hope to get a new release shortly). If you do not have RM-428, please therefore provide the following:

Could you double check that you have installed the correct sis file? On the Beta Labs download page there are 2 sis files on there - one of S60 3.2 devices and one for S60 5.0 devices. The one you need is S60 5.0 for your 5800.

Thanks for fixing this. The latest update worked on my Nokia 5800 (RM-428). why is the version/release date not updated in the project home page.

Going forward, could you mention the product version along with the updated date (in the home page)?

I know this is not the right place to post this:
anyway, the GPS lock-in is a huge problem. I'm inside my home with Wi-fi connectivity. Google maps locks in my position in 1 second. However, ovi maps shows a 25 mile radius as my possible location and it's completely off. Number 1 priority in this application has to be GPS lock in speed. Even when I'm on the road, it takes forever (sometimes never), to get a lock in without A-GPS.

I had successfully installed 3.04_10wk8_b02_s60_5.0.nocs.sis on my 5800 and was working great until yesterday when I had to reset my phone (SMS messages would not open : seems it got corrupted). After reset, I also formatted the memory card and reinstalled tools.

I noticed that though OVI maps showed version 3.04, there was no wifi positioning available. I tried to reinstall Ovi maps from the same installation as well as the installation currently on betalabs (18th April release), but it breaks inbetween with a "Unknown error -5".

Device Details:

Custom version : 50.0.005.C01.01
Language Set : 19
Model: 5800 XpressMusic
Type: RM-356

Please advice.

try to uninstall everything like "open c library", "standard c++ library" and PIPS, after uninstalled them, I was able to reinstall OM 3.04 on my n97
