Location Function Navigation compass

Test 07/09/09

Maps function was set with A-GPS active etc. No other apps active.

Location > gps data>navigation>set destination: destination chosen.

The direction for travel icon or the compass arrow seems to have no relation to the correct direction to take.

Location>gps data>position: satellite lock>navigation. Navigation compass arrow changes as does direction for travel icon; but, there is still no relation to the correct direction to take.

Distance reference to destination is correct

the compass is not for car use as the metal of the car stops it working.
The compass is used for walking only. Though the map would turn in the direction you were going on ovi map 3.01 it has stopped on 3.03

first the compass does not work in cars as metal stops it work which i have seen on nokia FAQs. Second have you calibrated by flicking your wrist, which can be found on youtube under (How to: Calibrate Nokia N97's compass within three seconds)
