Missing the excellent address search in Maps 3.01

My first test on installation of Maps 3.04 was an offline search. Sadly, this version still lacks the intuitive address search featured in 3.01 but tragically unavailable in 3.03. If the cost to Nokia is not too much, this excellent search facility should be re-instated in Maps 3.04 with all the extremely useful lists/suggestions of 'Country/Region,' 'City/Post Code,' 'Street' and 'Number' as featured in Maps 3.01. A map is a guide and without an index to find where I am going it is not much use!

I agree with you, the search in Maps 3.03. is frustrating ! i was searching for 5-7 places all over the world.... it takes me hours ........
Sometimes I must search 8-10 places in Germany very quick, it is NOT POSSIBLE to find them if you do not know te EXACTLY spelling !? if this not will be changed in the future I must use my old navigation again, sorry ;)

If you plan a route, when you add a point with the method "address" you will have the search function that you are missing.

the new search is not so bad, you need to know some tips to find a place.
the name of the city has to be fully written, I hope that in the next release it will be possibile write only a part.

I can only agree with lixy15, I have searched for a place in Germany, Karlsruhe and it took me 10 minutes to find it... this is not Fun! If I don´t get back a "normal" search gust like it was in 3.01 I switch back to another Navigation device! And I tell all of my friends that Nokia is not able to program a good search function so the hole NAVI-App is useless ;-)

@jofr0011 for find Karlsruhe, more or less 20 seconds with the new search
are the coordinates 49 00 37,33 N, 8 24 33,12 E?
as I wrote in the previous comment, it is true that it is not perfect, but after few pratice you could like it, but you can use the traditional search function adding an address when you are planning a route.

In my opinion, there always should be "tabbed search screen", with one tab for the new way of finding places (i see this is sometimes easier, more "google" alike; but still much too burdensome/slow to me and others), one for the previous -IMHO better!!! and often faster- way, and one for coordinates, when You know them.

And -Maps' team- do not forget to include the option to choose between online and offline mode for searching (as I was describing some time ago, even when Maps app itself is in online mode, there are cases when I would prefer to perform an offline search -for which I would probably use "the old way" BTW, with suggestions to city/street names).
