This is the version of Maps I've been waiting for! It is quicker to use and takes advantage of the benefits provided having a touch device (N97). Some of the response times for the search and Guides features need to be increased, but I'm sure that will be worked out through the beta.
Thank you Nokia for finally making a Maps that will replace the one in my car!
I have to diagree on this. 3.01 was using a native interface, which was touch oriented. Try to search for places or in lonely planet. Items are very very small, especially on Nokia 5530. In search results they are 1.5 times lower than native listbox items. In lonely planet they are more than 2.5 times lower than native listbox items. It's just impossible to click on them using your finger.
But this version of maps is not listed as compatible with the 5530. The compatability list ius as follows (could have just been missed of the list though):

It's just accidentally missed because the device has very limited availability and was not released internationally yet. It's also does not have GPS inside. Still N97 has same 2,9'' display. And Nokia 5800/5230 displays are not much bigger - just 3,2''. Even on 5800/5230 Lonely planet items are very small
