Need to try using it, but the start-up speed is excellent and it looks beautiful.
Thanks guys.
I'll update this post when I have had chance to use it for navigation.
[UPDATE 02-SEPT-09 07:00PM]
I have now tried the drive navigation on a short drive. I am sorry to say that the GPS was the worst it's been. Now I had very minor GPS issues with v3.01, but on my first run out using v3.03 was so laggy and intermittent it was unuseable. If I had not known the route already things could have got very interesting.
I had installed via the .sis file over a .sis installed version of Maps v3.01. I have since uninstalled maps and re-installed it. I have imported my nacked up copy of the Cities folder and QF File created with Maps 3.01 and then installed Map v3.03 and will try the drive navigation again tomorrow morning, If t is no better I will uninstall again, re-install and try using Map Loader to regenerate the Cities Folder and QF file and back up as I go again incase it works.
[UPDATE 03-SEPT-09 07:25AM]
After uninstalling and re-installing using the .sis file and re-importing my Cities and qf backups as discussed in my previous update, this morning I drove to work using Maps and it worked. Need to use it a few more times to veryfy that this is the norm and not the poor performance seen last night. I did expect it to perform worse today as the weather is worse.
I have noticed, however, that GPS fix is very quick, but when I did not move for about 3-4 minutes the GPS fix although quick to estabilish bounced arround between a half full and 90% full bar. I seem to remember this having been more stable in previous releases of maps. At least it did not droip to nothing at any point during this period, but should it not be a little more stable.
