I replaced 3.0 with the 3.03 beta version
I must first explain that I turned it on without the bluetooth gps with it placed on the seat of my car. Not expecting it to be accurate due to the previous lag I didnt really expect much difference. Well to my amazement, it knew exactly where I was and when to turn.
This was initially on a short trip, the next day on a longer one at higher speeds. I then mounted it one the top of the dashboard using velcro, the reception was the same with or without the bluetooth gps connected. The tilting screen was handy as the display was very easy to see. ( if you try it be careful when removing it to support the back of the phone and decide whether to have the furry bit on phone or on dash)
I liked the layout of the menus and it started very quickly to pick up satellites. It is a lot easier to search for places, destinations, and the drive home feature which you can alter to any destination is very useful. Even my local supermarket was easy to find.
The initial menu is far better, and likewise the following menus are far easier to navigate around the program.
The weather feature is very useful as is the events, lonely planet, and michelin guides.
When calling someone using bluetooth headset it defaulted to homepage after the call. I would prefer back to the map display. If recieving a call it defaults back to map display.
I will report back further on this with further usage.
