Startup is fast but switching screens as some delay. The good thing is about new features like defining home location, track me. Overall much simpler and better than before.
Weather and Loney Planet is a good addon. Would be good if these are put on the map when navigating. Not sure at the moment as haven't tried it out yet. Would do so while going back.
Why no search by category?

I tried out the Drive feature yesterday and today morning as well. Below is my feedback.
1. The screen painting is quite slow at times even around 500 m behind, though once it is lacking it quickly jumps to the new location.
2. GPS signal goes aways very frequently. It works fine with Track me.
3. Selecting Different route while navigating crashes the application.
4. Unable to get compas working in navigation mode even if it was collaborated before it loses its green colour and doesn't seems to work.
5. Search feature doesn't lets me clear the existing e.g. Pizza or Paris. I assume it wants me to start typing without clearing.
6. As above no search by category.
7. Map Views like bird eye or 3d are missing.

On your point #5: You can just start typing, it will auto-clear the "e.g. Pizza or Paris" text when you do. It was confusing to me too, when it wouldn't let me delete that text. Maybe they should put that default text in washed-out grey or some other non-standard text form. Or maybe just not put it there at all in the text entry screen.
