I'm just realize..., there's no saving screenshot option in v3.*, back since v2.0. I think that's little thing that must be added in the next release. In v3.*, we can share our position just with facebook users' friends, and perhaps twitter in the future. How can we share our position to friends which doesn't have fb or twit account? MMS!

And if Nokia realized, this is another way to promote the Ovi Maps. Our sharing friends (fb, twitter and one more...mms) will have a thought, "hey, nice map, where do you get it?", "Ovi maps!". And they'll bought a gadget that support the Ovi maps. Just that simple, right?

I agree with you that to have the possibility to make the screenshot of the map could be useful.
I can not understand about the MMS because it is possible to send a mms with the detail of the position, could you give more details?
In the previous beta, there was a request to send a sms instead of mms with the coordinates for safety reasons.

Sms and coordinates is ok, but i thought less people can read coordinates, then a picture describe a map and a "my position" sign.
Or maybe combining an address, a coordinate and a picture, we just hit a "send via message/mms" button. What about that?

A picture saying I am here seems like a good idea. Just have the option to adjust the zoom level of the picture first so that you are showing useful details (street names etc).
Ability to share a URL which points to a map with a dot on it which says I am here seems even better still! Then the recipient can zoom in and out to get their bearings and find you.

Once you have your position you can tap on the red dot and you are provided with an options menu. From this you can select "send".

From here you can choose to send your location via a number of methods including multi-media message (MMS) or email and it even supports Nokia Messaging if you have it installed.

The recipient should then be able to view this on their phone. The MMS message contains the street address and Place tag that they can open in OVI Maps.

I kow that way, but its still no screenshot image, right?
Just auto sync with ovi maps/a nokia handheld if we open it.
What if we want to send it to other handheld brand? just an address showing...
Then when we can advertise the ovi maps (and surely nokia handheld) to other brand users?
