Yesterday while navigating with my Nokia N97, I had the best idea ever. I turned the FM Transmitter on while the voice guided navigation was guiding me to my destination. The result was amazing, I could hear the voice guidance loud and clear through my car's speakers just as if my car had GPS built-in. But there is a problem. The FM transmitter is programed to remain ON only while music is playing, so the transmitter turns off after 30 seconds. I tried to play music at the same time, and it worked well, but the music shaded the voice nav.

There should be an option directly on Nokia Maps to turn the FM Transmitter on while navigating, and the FM transmitter should stay ON with just the voice navigation. The constant ''beep'' that the FM Transmitter produces while the music is not on should be also silenced. And there should be another feature to use the voice guidance while listening to music, the music should volume down when the direction is given so it can be heard well. Like in more advanced cars with GPS built-in.

I think this idea has lots of potential, it REALLY amazing to see how the GPS of the N97or any other device with FM Transmitter takes over the car. I was really impressed yesterday when I discovered this, unfortunately, it doesn't work as good as it could. And this could be a very strong pro on Nokia Maps, a very nice addition and point of marketing strategy.
