will OVI Maps ever have location sharing like Google has the latitude? though Ovi Maps is only for Nokia. how can I share my location with Google map user? is it possible? thanks :)
Friendview did that, but it was archived and the serive shutdown. I would also like to have something like friendview on Ovi Maps for Mobile, if at all possible. Latitude... well, latitude has the problem it runs on google maps, which keeps downloading map data always because it doesn't cache / pre-saves anything in your memory card... Latitude compatibility/interoperability? It'd be ok, but I guess that depends on agreements with Google and that could also be implemented on the FriendView-like serice instead of having to add much more to the mobile application.

I heard that nokia has some kind of location sharing system, but I think that it would be better, as solstrae said, to have some kind of integration with google latitude. It's the same that happens with "contacts on OVI", or the "OVI mail account", Instead of creating a parallel service that will only work on nokia phones, it would be better to use a public service that everybody uses......... will be more profitable I guess......
