I'm sure one of the Tom Tom Sat Nav's records new roads, and then saves them to update there maps, and then these are shared with others. This could be handy for keeping the maps as updated as possible. As a connection can possibly always be open, this could just take what is probably the best feature of a tom tom, and make is so much better.
