Nice UI, wrong setup, missing features

Suggestion for Ovi Maps Beta for mobile (v3.03)

Very nice looking UI on this one. It's a step in the right direction and it's much more touch friendly. But, it could have easily been done better.

1) When I open the application up, it SHOULD NOT go straight to the main menu. It should automatically show me the map first. Then you go into the menu to do whatever you want. Then after you fix that you can change the bottom of the screen so it should be, from left to right, Menu, Search, Exit. I can't stand not having an exit button right there on the main screen.

2) There is no way to edit your favorites in this at all. That's very important. Make it happen.

3) No way to change to satellite view yet. Make it happen if you intend on this becoming the standard maps application.

I think that Ovi Maps Beta f.m. is a great step in the right direction. But there are some features which should work beter.

And I am missing some - at least couldn't find them in the Beta software:

When starting a route I would like to be able:
a) to choose any point;
b) to choose any aim,
c) to choose any points between (not juist points of interest; reason: so I can get a certain route; I could do this with the old Nokia maps);
d) to be able to turn a given drive route into a walk route and vice versa. [Think e.g. of the long distance walks in England.]

I used the Beta version in the last weekend for a drive between the Netherlands en Germany: it worked much faster than the old version [and GPS is responding much more often ] (probably also a result of the newer OS: 12.x), but stil a bit to slow. We weren't in a hurry, but had to slow down a lot to get the information in time.
