Corrupt Collections Data!

Dear Maps.Ovi Team,

My Maps.Ovi Collection appear to have become corrupted, or at least two out of my three collections are corrupted. This means that I cannot open those collections, and all the landmarks they contain are therefore inaccessible to me.

This is rather worrying, as, if I were to Sync my device, I could get corrupted or lost Landmarks on my device, which i rely on to find my way to places.

The fault first occurred when I tried to use the facility to copy a lanmark from one collection to another. After that, both the "from" and the "to" collection refuse to open, and I get the following eroor:

I am using the latest Firefox. I can't try another browser, and my others are incompatible (IE8 and Opera). But the fault persist across reboots, so it is definitely a fault with the data rather than with my Browser.

Hi Geoff,

this is indeed a very strange problem - we have not seen a problem like this before.

Is it possible to delete the collections? When you do that, the favourites contained within should go back to the "root level" of your collections view, and perhaps then you can access them.

Could you try that, and let me know what happens?

I created a new collection on my phone, copied the markings of the corrupt collection for the new collection broken up, did a sync on your phone and delete the collection OVI Maps corrupted and rename the new collection with the name of the collection that I delete corrupted earlier.
