Some kind of albums inside channel are needed. If put lot of photos to one channel, soon there will be so many that it's almost impossible to find photos that are related to some event.
Adding a tag helps a bit but that's too messy and you have to know exaclty what you should write to tag search. Quite embarrasing that only search method is just quess that last ski trip might be in page 65 of 130 or something similar.
Adding channel for every event is out of question. Soon you would have tons of them and need to give access rights for everyone of them.
