Share Online causes start up problems on N85

After nearly 20 days of frustration and having no knowledge of what was causing the issue, i think i might have the answer to what was causing the failed start up on my N85 repeatedly. I am surprised i did not think of it before.

Ever since i started installing Share Online 4.3 on my N85, i have been facing hung starts with my N85. Ofcourse, i had no idea it was Share Online whch was causing the problem. I blamed my new Kingston memory card, Twittix and the seriously bugged N85 FW.

But it was only yesterday, when i faced the problem after a fresh reset with only Share Online installed on the phone, that i realised that it was SO all the way.

Although it does not come as a surprise as it is a beta which updates an application on the ROM, but still, should not have happened this way.

Anyother N85 user noticed this problem?

dont worry bro, i had the same issue for a day or two only, then it starts to work like a charm.
keep starting it up, update, let it crash, force using it a bit, an will run smooth after.
My guess it needed a bit time to kick in.

I have been facing the problems since the past 3 weeks! The phone would hang as soon it starts.
Tried many hard resets. But the phone would sometimes continuously give me about 4 - 5 failed starts before it would start. Was too much of a problem. Back to Share Online 3 for now.

sorry to hear, it runs perfect now for me, but i did have to deal with a lot of hardship first.

same on N96 here..........
istalled share online v4.0 (because v4.3 isnt working on n96 right now) and now phone crashed all the time after startup!
it is restarting in endless loops and sometimes it tells me failure in standby theme.......

so help me pls -> how can i get my phone back working?

jjaimon says "True. New firmware (20.050.098) fixed it. I still got the "unable to install" error while trying to install the app. A soft reset (*#7370#) didn't help. I had to do a hard reset (*#7780#), but I didn't mind that since the backup/restore feature from "File Manager" will restore my phone settings including podcasts, feeds, WLan settings, sync setting, contacts etc.) All that I had to do was to install other apps.

i have frimware ver. 20.050.098.1 installed on my N96 and it fixed nothing. the way out was a hard reset 4 me. unfortunately i wasn't that clever to create a backup before adding so4.3 so all settings, stuff and so on got lost. i had to set up phone newly.

i know its just a beta and i know there can be bugs into but this is a very hard one.

now shareonline v3.1.08.23 is back on my phone(back to the roots)! the only thing i want to have improved is the 6 pictures limit for uploading because this makes uploading 60 pictures at once to a hard and time-consuming job!

i will have a look for another app which can make it. Hopefully onlineshare isnt that long in beta........

On FW 12 it just didn't, but now on FW 20 it works. Never tried SO 4.0, though.

Never had a start up problem with my N85-3. Not currently using it since I can't get PixelPipe to work with it...

hi..i kinda have the same problem..i have a n85..firmware 20.175 and with share online 4.3..but i went to uninstall the share online 4.3 but now my home screen wont stop refreshing..i cant do nothing with my phone..i cant go into the menu..i cant make a call because my homescreen wont stop refreshing..its like when you power your phone on and your homescreen loads up...!!!but it wont stop doing that!please help..hard reset didnt fix it either

I never had start up problems with my N85-1 and I can use Pixelpipe properly. Maybe by now it works great for you guys!

hi it says on beta labs that you have graduated nokia share 4.3, yet when i go to the nokia share website it has no mention nor download of 4.3. how can i get a copy of it, if it's not available on the nokia share website?
