When will this app allow users to upload photos to Facebook? (if ever)
This should also be able to access Facebook's albums so that we can choose which we want to upload to.

I believe its possible. Try a look at the S60 Blogs. Also take a look at Mobile Web Server in the betalabs. There you should find your answers.
I think we can add merge Ovi Account with facebook, have a look at the link below....But im having problems linking my ovi account with facebook.
Actually, what I'm referring to is an app that lets us upload photos to Facebook albums and let us choose the specific album to upload to, similar to how we can pick an Ovi Channel.
The Mobile Web Server is almost completely different and the phone needs to maintain an 'always on' internet connection for it to work which, drains battery.
The Ovi Channel looks good, I haven't tried it yet, but it still doesn't allow one to upload a photo from the phone to Facebook.
If Nokia wants to break the North American market, this is a must.
I would also like the option to upload my photos directly to facebook.
I really support this idea, especially because all my friends use facebook as well. Why should they all change to use Ovi just to leave a comment about a picture?
I'm just guessing, but I think that facebook has the larger community than share on ovi, so I think a plugin for facebook would make sense...
Hi,
We made our own profile to upload images and video to a newsdesk at at newspaper. This was in 3.0 but I assume you could do the same in 4.0.
This means that the limitations is not in the Nokia platform but the fact that nobody at Facebook have built such a interface.
With the Facebook API it might be possible to create the service you want, but who is going to do it and who would like to pay for that work?
actualy i am also very much interested in this... even thinking on making a facebook app to do this by myself. However i wonder, am i allowed to do this? or do i have to pay nokia or something... becouse a facebook app with capabilities to update ur status, post pictures, and stuf with this share online thingy (alrdy figured out the atom protocol) is fairly simple to make and makes me wonder why no1 else did this before.
I did it!
okie ive finished my facebook application (has yet to go trough some testing and need a host). With it u can upload photos and add caption directly to your profile via share online 2.0 and 3.0, dont know about 4.0 becouse got a n95 and isnt supported by share online 4.0.
is there a way you can share this by a download or so? :-)
Oooo, please do share or let us know how you did it!
I now have a mashup for getting images into Facebook (no text yet) and I have a working config for getting data into my web server.
I will do some more work on this next week.
When done I will open it up for people who would like to test it out.
But I would like to get some more feedback from you all about how we can take this solution to the users in the best way.
I dont really want my server to be a hub for image uploads to Facebook ;-).
My N97 won't upload photo directly through Facebook. There's always a message "Script error". Could somebody advise what to do?
