When you say new version, which version do you mean as Nokia Sports Tracker latest version was v2.06. The new Sports Tracker application on the OVI Store is not Nokia Sports Tracker, but Sports Tracker, developed by Sports Tracking Technologies and not Nokia.
Sports Tracking Technologies was started up by the developers of Nokia Sports Tracker, but is not owned by Nokia and as such not supported on the Beta Labs forum, unless a deal is done between the Beta Labs and Sports Tracking Technologies to add them as a third party app developer.
If you are referring to Nokia Sports tracker v2.06 then this should be able to upload, but if you are referring to Sports Tracker v3.02 from OVI Store then the web interface is not yet finished as advised when you try to upload. With the new Sports Tracker you can export to a number of formats, and upload to Google Maps, Twitter and anywhere you can upload to via Share Online.

so can I get this Nokia software for my 5230? and then use the upload. I have seen what looks like 'live upload' on the website it looks really useful.
Yes. Go to the applications section of http://www.n97geeks.com and you should find the .sis file for Nokia Sports Tracker v2.05 and v2.06 which you can download and install on your phone. This will work with the Nokia Sports Tracker website ( http://sportstracker.nokia.com )
