It seems to me that media items' location is determined by their timestamp, and not any embedded GPS exif data. So if I should pause the recording, subsequent media items are displaced along the route by the total pause/auto-pause time. Hope there's a workaround for this.
Any ideas how to create a "music" media item? Just by playing a track (seems to be not such a good idea given mbrett's bug report)?

The present way to create a music media item is to play a trck on the default Nokia Media Player. This is presently the only way.

Thanks for the confirmation. Sorry for not finding the previous thread but my search on "media items" didn't hit that thread!
I guess the workaround is not to use auto or manual pause if accurate picture placement is required.
I can see the sense in using timestamp for broader compatibility, and maybe the camera app doesn't have access to the GPS data while NST is using it, so preventing the GPS info being written to the EXIF data?

Have you checked out "Location Tagger" in the Graduated Section.

My E71 is an FP1 device, so was missing the NLT application. It works fine, and there's no problem running both that and NST - both apps get GPS data from the E71 interrnal module.
