N79-Active and bundled SportsTracker phone app doesnt connecto ST web site

Hi,

I have just purchased Nokia N79 Active phone (with bundled Polar belt).

The phone itself seems to work just fine (except few back light problems in screensave mode but that's another story) and the built-in Sportstracker phone app works with the Polar heart rate belt.

The phone keeps track of my daily workouts, but whenever I try to connect the phone to ST web site to submit workout statistics, it fails. ST app in the phone never seems to be able to establish the connection.

I have setup the ST app to use the local WLAN network (Settings in ST app's own menu). However, ST app always gives "Connecting..." and then "failed to connect. Check user and password". The result is the same if I try to create a new ST web account through the phone (using userid which is definetly available).

My "web created" ST account does work because I can login to it through PCs web browser.

And WLAN in the phone works, because I can surf the net and login to Ovi with N79.

Does anyone know whether I can install the web downloaded SportsTracker application v2.06 over the built-in Nokia79-Active SportsTracker v2.00 app in the phone and still use heart rate monitoring Polar belt?

I don't wanna loose the heart rate monitoring functionality if I install the betalabs downloaded app.

Yes you can upgrade wiyhout loosing the heratrate monitor.

Remember to unpair your user with the service first and repair afterwards as sometimes updating whilst still paired can result in ghost user profiles.
